Easy to pack up?
Absolutely easy. Open the valve(as its bottom) and roll the mattress from opposite end towards the valve. Carefully fold the mattress and put it back in the sack
Small enough when packed to use for non-motorized travel?
Yes, Low-bulk materials make the mattress ultra-compact—as small as a water bottle.
Cautions?
Keep away from the fire and other possible sources of heat.
Avoid prolonged sun exposure.
How should I inflate my self-inflating mat the first time?
For best performance, inflate your self-inflating pad with air by breath or pump and sack and leave the mattress fully inflated for 4-8hours before your first use.
How Does a self-inflating mat Work?
Self-inflating sleeping pads rely on the compressible and rebound-able open cell foam cores to self-inflate. The atmospheric pressure around the pad pushes air into the rebounding open cells when the valve is opened.
How Long Should it Take for My mat to Self-Inflate?
Generally, it takes 5-15 minutes for any of our self-inflating pads to inflate on their own. That 10-minute variance range is probably due to one of the following factors: core construction, trained compression, elevation and temperature. We find the most significant factor is trained compression (i.e. if your mat is new and has been factory rolled on the shelf for some time or stored rolled up for a few months)
Why Doesn’t My self-inflating mat Inflate All the Way?
Self-inflation begins when the valve is opened and ends when equilibrium is reached between the atmospheric pressure outside the cells and the air pressure within the cells pushing the other way. In our experience, most users’ comfort level requires more air than the equilibrium level, which is why self-inflating pads don’t inflate “all the way.”
How should I store my self-inflating mat?
We recommend storing the mattress unrolled and fully inflated in a dry place with the valve open. This will ensure the foam self-inflates faster when camping. Storage for a prolonged time in a damp space may cause mildew damage which is not covered by our Limited Lifetime Warranty.

DELTA CORE TECHNOLOGY
The innovative DELTA CORES foam system maximizes the comfort and thickness of our Self Inflating mattresses while minimizing weight and bulk. 40% of the initial volume of the PU foam is removed in horizontal Delta-shaped cores, giving minimal weight and packed size. Importantly, the top and bottom surface of the PU foam remain completely intact.
MULTI-FUNCTION VALVE
To ensure that you will be warm when you sleep (especially when the ground is colder), it is essential to know how well your sleeping mat resists heat loss into the ground. This resistance is known as an R-Value. A laboratory-tested R-Value is the only way to measure resistance to heat loss. Sea to Summit has always provided independent lab-tested R-Values for its sleeping mats. Since January 2020 we have used the industry standard ASTM F3340-18 test to provide R-Values for our mats. There are other factors which will determine how well a sleeping mat will insulate; but the standardized ASTM R-Value test means that you can compare resistance to heat loss in sleeping pads across different brands.
INTEGRATED PUMP SACK
The clever design opens at one end to stow the air mat and the other end unfolds to become the built-in pump. The integrated pumpsack can be inflated with a single breath and takes just two or three cycles to fill our mats. Not only is it faster than inflation by mouth, but there is minimal breath condensation entering the mat and it eliminates dizziness from blowing the mat up directly by mouth. The integrated pumpsack is also compatible with smaller products of air pillows.
